I enjoy warm climate cabernet like this. A subdued nose with echoes of blackcurrant, olive and a herbal sachet. The oak is a mere adjunct, sewing seams with a firm thread, far from forced. Nothing too hard here. Beautifully poised and lovely to drink.

The oak is subtle enough to complement and marry into the wine’s sweet fruit rather than dominate it and helps to provide the structure, allowing the wine to mature and create more complexity with bottle age. Drink now, or as a more complex wine for many years to come
