Markus Molitor Edition 2005

The Riesling Edition No. 12 by Markus Molitor is a Mosel Riesling from the single vineyard Bernkasteler Graben in select quality. The fruity, expressive Riesling Auslese * shows rich yellow fruit and a filigree slate minerality. The wine has a good balance of sweetness and acidity, as well as a nice lightness with a fresh style.

Viticulture on the steep slopes of the Moselle is one of the oldest in Germany. There is hardly a wine region in which the cultivation of the land is more arduous, but the local winegrowers have adapted to the circumstances, for example the vines are cultivated in the so-called Moselle pile education. This single-pole training enables work on the steep slopes of the Moselle. You can walk around the individual vines and do the vineyard work. The Moselle winemakers are rewarded with high-quality grapes, from which they press the world-famous Mosel Rieslings.
