Produced from vines 5 to 25 years old with a small amount of whole bunch fruit included. Maturation took place in French oak barrels for 10 months. Deep dark red core with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Lifted spicy dark cherry aromas are married to wild strawberry, anise and earthy cedar like notes. Light to medium weight the palate has a generous fruit profile of ripe dark cherries and plum over anise, forest floor and spicy cedar characters. Polished tannins concluding medium to long with a savoury aftertaste. Drink over the next 4-5 years.
