Le Haie Nardin is a one-hectare lieu-dit of 50-year-old vines on sandy clay over limestone on the Courchamps plateau. It's this sandier soil composition that Michel Chevre credits for the expressive and aromatic nature of this particular release. Whilst far from entry level this is the most approachable of Chevre's three wines, it has a lovely open knit texture and seamless acidity, the fruit is ripe and expressive and the finish long and saline. Terrific tension and balance. A really great introduction to a producer who will go far.
