Copain's "Les Voisins" meaning "neighbors" in French is a high-end cuvée of sites in what people call "the deep end" of Anderson Valley. This is the northwestern part of the valley where the ocean's influence is at it's most powerful and most folks believe this is where the finest Pinot Noir in the region is grown. Coming mostly from Abel Vineyard, an east facing, hillside parcel, planted to Clone 115. The next largest portion comes from the famed Maggy Hawk Vineyard, the crown jewel holding of the estate, then a small portion of fruit from the high, 2000ft elevation, Sky Crest Vineyard completes the blend. Only 10% new French oak is used along with 15% whole cluster fermentation.
