Airy with a rare floral intensity, this Jasnières offers a decadent energy with a tangy finish. A monument of Jasnières! This "Rosiers" cuvée is a blend of young white Chenin vines from 4 different terroirs mainly based on flinty clay and siliceous clay, all on tuffeau bedrock. Yields are low, between 25 and 35 hectolitres per hectare, then fermentation is started with indigenous yeasts. The wines are aged in one, two and three wine barrels with a minimal renewal of new wood to avoid marking the wines too much. A few grams of residual sugar are deliberately kept in this cuvée. On tasting, one appreciates its beautiful pale yellow colour, the nose develops superb notes of fresh white fruit and sweet spices. An intense chalky character is revealed on the second nose. A very great Chenin on allocation present on the finest tables in France and elsewhere.
