The Pavelot family was established in Pernand-Vergrlesses during the 17th century, working with wine in one form or another, and is still family-owned today. Brother and sister duo Luc and Lise are doing an excellent job and have taken over the Domaine from their father, Regis. Luc and Lise work the 9 hectares of primarily Premier crus and two Grand Crus; the two Grand Cru's being Corton and Corton-Charlemagne. Pavelot really flies under the radar, and the Corton-Charlemagne hangs in with some of today's best examples but at much lower pricing. We were turned on to this Domaine about ten years ago by one of our best white Burgundy customers and were blown away by the wines, which are great buys for the money.
