Equis Equinoxe Crozes Hermitage Rouge 2019

This wine is as true an expression of a Rhone Syrah that you could possibly find. Maxime, son of the famous winemaker Alain Graillot, has taken the lessons learned growing up in his fathers’ winery, and added a modern contemporary twist to his winemaking style.

Farming his own vineyards organically, he also aims to utilise organic vineyards for fruit he purchases, such as in this wine. The grapes for the Equinoxe are primarily from a mature, gravelly, organically farmed site in Pont de l'Isère that has not seen any herbicides or pesticides for 10 years.

Deep and complex the wine is full of wild game, black pepper, and pristinely ripe red and black fruits.
