The wine is restless, reaching every tastebud for a little explosion. Unusually spicy, Szechuan spicy, with an etheric finish. The notes are darker than usual: violets, hibiscus, plums. Rough but stylish and long. A breakfast wine, a wine for tough workers with similarities, maybe, to a Barbera from Monferrato this year, although much lighter in its tannic structure. Pairs well with a leather jacket. 100% Teroldego sourced from sandy 2.5 hectare ‘Sgarzon’ vineyard situated on the Campo Rotaliano. Fermented in Spanish tinajas (clay jars) for 8 months.
