Gómez Cruzado Viña Dorana Reserva is a red wine produced by Gómez Cruzado in Haro, La Rioja, under the D.O.Q.a Rioja. The winery was founded in 1886 in the famous station neighbourhood of Haro, where you will find the classic and most renowned wineries of the Rioja Alta. The winery’s vineyards are divided among three zones of the Rioja Alta, in the Sierra Cantabria, Nejerilla and Alto Najerilla, all cultivated using sustainable viticulture. This wine is made exclusively with the Tempranillo and Grenache grape variety, taken from the Sierra de Cantabria and Bajo Najerilla, planted on traditional low bush vines, aged over 30 years old. Vinification is carried out in in truncated cone shaped stainless steel tanks with daily pump overs. The wine is then aged for 18 months in first and second year French and American oak barrels. The wine then rests for 2 years in the bottle. Gómez Cruzado Viña Dorana Reserva is a red wine of a classic Riojan style, which looks to balance the character of the fruit with the wood.
