Fruit from a single vineyard in the Coal River Valley (Clarence House). Clones 777 and 115 were fermented with 50% whole bunches atop whole berries for 21 days. Gently pumped over once a day while the ferment was most active (4-5 times in total). It was pressed to and matured in oak for ten months (30% new). Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Alc - 13.0%, pH - 3.52, TA 5.8g/L. 1992 bottles produced without fining or filtration
