The Kalleske Johann Georg Vineyard shiraz block was planted in 1875, and comprises rare ancestor vines – more than 125 years old – that are hand-pruned and harvested. Certified organic and biodynamic production, traditional open-top vinification, gentle basket pressing and maturation in new and seasoned French and American hogsheads give this wine a beautiful authenticity and longevity. The Johann Georg Old Vine Shiraz is a classic enduring Barossa style with generous dark berry and dark praline fruit, dense chocolatey tannins, inky complexity and underlying savoury mocha oak.
