As of 2022, Lamarche’s Echézeaux comes from two lieux-dits—Les Cruots ou Vignes Blanches and Clos-Saint-Denis—totalling one hectare of 30-year-old vines. The yields are modest, the touch in the cellar feather-light, and the resulting wine radiates the grace and aromatic purity that define this estate. The 2022 Echézeaux is a masterclass in delicacy. A bouquet of rose petal, wild strawberry, plum, and exotic spice leads into a silken palate framed by fine, chalky tannins. The balance of poise and perfume rivals far more powerful expressions from the same Grand Cru. Lamarche employs around 30% whole bunches and a mix of oak and amphora to achieve harmony and lift. Cellared Says Sublime, fragrant and hauntingly pure—this is Grand Cru Burgundy redefined. The 2022 vintage brings both generosity and transparency, wrapped in velvet texture. Drink 2030–2036.
