From vines planted 1969-1974. 35% new oak. No fining or filtration. Autumnal, savoury and kind of amaro- laced. I’m thinking poached strawberry, cherry, spice and cedar, with a distinct sappy/sour blood orange tang, fine-grained but firm tannin, and a fresh red-fruited finish of good length. Plenty of character. I like it. 93 points. Gary Walsh, The Wine Front November 2021
