The 2013 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Combe Aux Moines, which is a relatively cold climate, has lifted brambly red berry fruit on the nose laced with limestone and granitic scents. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, fine acidity, well-integrated oak and a lovely, refined finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is a glorious 2013 for the domaine.
