Fruit for this Chardonnay was purchased from a variety of growers located throughout Bourgogne who meet the Domaine’s strict quality criteria. Maturation is typically 25% in barrel and 75% in stainless steel vats for a period of 7 to 8 months. Bright pale straw to straw colour with glimpses of green to the edges and a watery hue. Lifted white peach and dried honey aromas are married to biscuity oak, subtle cashew and spicy nougat. Rich fleshy peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours carry a creamy textured feel across the mid weighted palate with cashew, nougat and spice elements filling out the back half. Excellent balance with ample depth and a long generous yet refined conclusion. A very impressive entry level Bourgogne.
