VINEYARD
The Estate Vineyard at Dixons Creek. Average vine age 28 years. Clones include MV6, 667 & a small portion of the little known clone MV4. Pinot Noir is planted on the cooler sites that are typically southern and eastern facing aspects.

SEASON
Terrific Pinot Noir growing season, timely spring rain. Slow ripening, terrific flavour development, highly perfumed vintage.

TASTING NOTES
Beautifully perfumed and ethereal, blue fruits, sandalwood and violets. Bright vibrant flavours, supple, seamless and with lovely tension.

WINE STYLE
Medium weight, perfumed, textural.

WINEMAKING
The fruit was hand harvested and hand sorted. A combination of whole berry and whole bunch (10-15%) is tipped into open fermenters. 15-18 days of maceration and fermentation with wild yeast. Pressed, settled overnight and then filled to barrel by gravity. Allowed to mature for 9 months at 16?°C in 225L French casks.

WINE ANALYSIS
Alc/Vol: 13.5%, pH: 3.40, TA: 6.2g/L

CELLARING
The wine will continue to develop complexity and interest with good cellaring for 2-5 years.
