This too is very, very 1993-like out of the blocks this year and will be one of the very best examples of this terroir to be found in the vintage. The bouquet is very black fruity and outstanding, delivering a superb constellation of black plums, cassis, bitter chocolate, venison, gorgeously complex soil tones, woodsmoke and nutty new oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and focused, with outstanding mid-palate depth, suave, ripe tannins, exceptional focus and grip and a very, very long, nascently complex and compelling finish. Great juice.
