Jane Eyre left Australian in 2004 to pursue her wine making journey. She was fortunate enough to land in Burgundy and as the saying goes, the rest is history. Now, working as a negociant winemaker – someone who purchases grapes from reputable growers, creating fine wines available in the most prestigious restaurants and wine stores across the globe. In 2021 she became the first woman, and the first Australian, to win a coveted ‘winemaker of the year’ award from French magazine La Revue du Vin de France. All hand picked fruit that spent 20 days on skins before being left to age for 10 months in French Oak. Red fruits that draw you in, violet, well integrated oak and long silky tannins.
