The 2018s Lutzmannsburg Old Vines is a wine that already shows its full potential after four years, but also just that. The Blaufränkisch oscillates between red and dark berries, wild herbs, stone and earthy notes, offering a lot of tannin, which, however, appears well-dosed, ripe and elegant. The wine clothes the palate with velvet and silk and prances on the tongue despite the depth and fullness it possesses. It's great now, but will become more complex and introspective with time. A wine for the next 20 years and more.
